On 25 March 2023, our Sanctuary was visited by some pilgrims from the Basilica-Sanctuary "Sant'Antonio" of Messina, accompanied by Padre Mario Magro, Rector of the same and president of the National Connection of Sanctuaries. An opportunity to refresh the spirit for these Sicilian friends, above all because some of the pilgrims are engaged every day as volunteers at the soup kitchen of the Antonian sanctuary, distributing around 300 meals every day.
After the stop at our Basilica and the celebration of Mass on the Solemnity of the Annunciation, the group moved to San Marco Argentano to visit the Norman crypt, where they were welcomed by our bishop Mons. Stefano Rega who, in that context of intimate recollection, he presided over the Sunday Eucharist.
